Watching and Waiting

[Puddle]

Puddle sat near the lake, waiting for someone to join him. He liked company and he wanted someone not in Ocean Band. He hoped Icee, Slushy or Glacier would come by. He liked those penguins and he wanted to see more of them. More often of course. Puddle frowned as the wind blew across his face. He wondered if Rain noticed he was gone. He shrugged it off though. Where were those patrols? Didn't Frost or Popsicle send out patrols? Even Fleur was capable of doing so. He frowned again as more time passed.
"Hello?" he called into the distance, half-hoping someone would hear him.
Puddle sighed. Of course there'd be no answer, why would there be?

[Icee]

Icee had snuck out of camp. She heard Puddle's cries and wanted to go find him. She thought Puddle was a sweet and caring penguin with a good attitude. She didn't know which way to go so she closed her eyes and followed her scent. Where was it leading her?
"Puddle?" she whispered quietly.
Icee still had her eyes closed, she stalked forward until she landed with a splash in the lake. The Rockhopper penguin opened her eyes to see Puddle standing there.
"Puddle!" she exclaimed. "There you are!"
She glanced over her shoulder and added quietly, "No one knows I'm here so let's keep it that way."
Icee smirked and held out her flipper.

[Rain]

Rain had heard some commotion coming from the lake near Snow Band and Blizzard Band territory. So of course, she went to investigate. Rain was like that, always coming to the rescue. It bothered her but she couldn't control it. So Rain quickly scurried over to the lake to investigate.
"Hello?" she whispered when she was far away.
Then she noticed Puddle. What was her young wing doing all the way out here? The lake ran along Snow Band territory, it barely lapped at Ocean Band's shoreline. She shook her head, he obviously came here to think. Why else-
"No way," she mouthed to herself as Icee clambered out of the lake and smirked her way over to Puddle. They were NOT doing this now! Rain stomed out of the shadows, ready to put a stop to this when something hit her. Literally, something hit Rain....and she blacked out.

((Dun dun dun DUN!!!! What will happen next?!!!!))

[Puddle]

Puddle nodded to Icee when she said she wanted to keep things quiet. He smiled and took her flipper. Icee was new on Polar Island but she was taking it by storm. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts. Then the young wing noticed something rustling in the water.
"Hello?" he called, straining his neck to see.
Puddle glanced at Icee worriedly.
"What if someone finds us?" he mouthed quietly.
He looked around again, hoping to find that it was just a fish. But there was no sound.

[Slushy]

Slushy sat quietly in a tree by the lake.
Oops. she thought I hope Rain doesn't look up to see where that clump of snow came from. That would totally ruin my stake out.
Slushy glanced around towards Puddle and Icee, rage burning through her body. What the heck was going on? Puddle should be hers!

[Rain]

Rain dreamt of Puddle and Icee together. She wondered if Glacier, Driftee or Slushy would be jealous. Puddle was a fine young he-guin and all the she-guins would be falling all over him. Rain smiled in her dream but shook the thought away. Her eyes flickered open and closed again. What was happening to her?
