- Chick - Rain was born a chick in Ocean Band when Ocean was leader. She wanted to train to become a gladiator really bad. Ocean was very fond of her and he hoped that she would succeed in whatever happened. Rain attended Band meetings even though she wasn't supposed to. She was the first chick ever born to Ocean Band. Rain didn't have many friends because she was the only one in the chicks' den. She didn't feel lonely, just sad. Rain's sadness rubbed off on everyone in the Band and she just didn't know what to do. When Rain's time had come to become a young wing, she had already visited the leader's den and the deputy's den. Being that Rain's father was the current deputy.
- Young Wing - When Rain became a young wing, she was uber-excited! She could finally make some friends and do exciting things. Her mother was very proud of her in more ways than one. Her mentor was none other than Ocean, who was still fond of her. He cared for little Rain like a father since her real father was never there. The deputy was always hunting and doing anything else except be with his chick. So Ocean became Rain's second father and she loved every minute of it. Rain was an excellent young wing with no problems at all. She never had to use her fighting skills because there was no other group nearby. Rain was okay with that though, she never liked battles anyway. When she was ready to become a gladiator, she knew exactly what she wanted and she intended to get it.
- Gladiator - When Rain became a gladiator, it was one of the happiest days of her life. She knew her mother and Ocean were very proud of her and she was proud of herself as well. Her father didn't really care and only came to see her ceremony for two seconds. Rain hadn't cared; she cared about her mother and Ocean, not her real father. She was the best in her Band and was excited about every task. She didn't mind doing young wing duties like helping eldery gladiators and healers or collecting herbs for the current healers. When Rain started to get dreams from Polar Band, she knew that her destiny was to become leader of the Band. But she didn't want anything to happen to Ocean, her father...not so much. After a cold winter of huddling together, Rain's mother died of starvation. It was a huge loss for the Magellanic and she mourned for many days and nights after.
- Senior Gladiator - When Rain was old enough, she knew she had to start learning things about being a healer. Leaders were both, she knew, and deputies trained to become both. She wanted to be deputy so bad that she was willing to do whatever it took to get the position. Rain didn't want to do anything harmful though so murder wasn't an option. Her mother was still fresh in her brain and mind so she never lost faith in Polar Band or her family. Ocean was proud of all of Rain's goals as well and she knew that they both liked each other more than friends. But nothing ever happened for Rain's real father died the next morning of a sudden cold. Rain was devastated like any other penguin would be. Although she didn't mourn as much as she did with her mother, she was still upset. So Ocean became her adopted father even more. He loved her so much that he appointed Rain deputy right away.
- Deputy - When Rain was appointed deputy, it was once again one of the best days of her life. She had trained long and hard for this day and all her hard work paid off. She was so excited but Ocean was the only one she could share it with. Both of her parents had died and Ocean was the only good friend left. Rain did exceptionally on all her deputy duties and didn't mind doing the hard tasks. She thought of everything like a goal. Once you reach it, you can do anything. Rain never let anyone see her upset and by now, she didn't mind not having anyone in her den. Maybe it was because she had her own den now. When the humans started coming and ruining all the land in South America, Rain was frightened for her Band. After ten penguins had died, Ocean convinced Ocean Band to move to a nearby island. Rain lead them to Polar Island where they found igloos in the Southwestern part of the icey island. Once Blizzard Band arrived and warned them of the other bands living around the island, Ocean convinced Rain and the rest of the Band to fight. Right before the battle was when Rain had her first vision. She saw a bunch of different penguins fighting and lots dead. The deputy also heard screaming and she saw herself fighting Blizzard, the leader of Blizzard Band. Rain had shaken herself awake and warned Ocean. Together, they came up with a great battle plan, one good enough to blow Blizzard Band out of the water. The next morning came the battle. Rain was determined to show how good she was to her leader. Once the fighting started, Rain knew (thanks to her power) when to dodge and duck and when to smack a Snow Band gladiator on the cheek. Her vision came true when she fought Blizzard and she beat him in a head to head intense battle. Once Blizzard had been beaten, she looked around but there was no one left. All of her Bandmates were lying dead on the iceberg...even Ocean. Her heart stopped beating and Rain felt like puking. She didn't know how to lead her Band...he couldn't be dead...not yet. She glanced around to find the four other deputies of the Bands alive. Rain knew this was a sign from Polar Band that Rain, Frost, Popsicle and Fleur were meant to lead their Bands.
- Leader - After Rain settled in her new igloo, she started to recruit members. She wanted Ocean Band to be as full as possible. She knew that Frost already had a new member named Slushy but Popsicle and Fleur (as well as herself) was just as lonely as ever. Rain tried to remember all the training Ocean had given her and she wanted him to speak to her in her dreams. She cried herself to sleep. When Rain awoke, she was in a mystical land. She saw a penguin wailing on the border of South America, where her old home used to be. Rain saw herself swimming through the ocean and talking to fish, trying to figure out where this penguin could be. When Rain really did awake, the walls of the igloo closed in on her and Rain couldn't take it anymore. She wanted to be free and rescue this poor penguin! So she set out on the journey and sure enough, her vision came true. She found a Magellenic penguin sitting and wailing on a beach. It turns out that his name was Puddle and he wanted a home. Together, Rain and Puddle swam back to Polar Island and Rain taught Puddle all there was to know about the bands. A voice whispered in her ear, "Soon there'll be enough members to conquer all." Rain thought she smelled Ocean but when she turned around, no one was there. She still misses her old mentor and leader but she knows his memory will live forever.
