Here's a little background knowledge about the history of Polar Island:
There was four major known penguins throughout the world: Ocean of the Magellanics, Ice of the Adelies, Blizzard of the Emperors and Snow of the Rockhoppers. They hated each other, yet they each had something special within them. They all lived together on a island near the coast of Antarctica, but an evil force forced them out of their home and they scattered. The Ocean Band penguins went to South America, the Ice Band penguins went to western Antarctica, the Snow Band penguins went to Australia and the Blizzard Band penguins went to eastern Antarctica. But fate brought them back together after long years of survival. The South American home of the Magellanics was the first to be destroyed. Global warming destroyed all four lands of the Bands. So they moved down south back to Polar Island, a large ice-covered island near the coast of Antarctica. The same island where they were driven from their homes by the force of evil. Snow reached the island first and claimed it for her own. They settled in igloos in the Northeastern side of the island. Ice and his band came next. They didn't realize Snow and her band
had already arrived. So they found igloos in the Southwestern part of Polar Island. Ocean found the island next and quickly claimed the igloos in the Southeastern part of the island for her and her band. Blizzard arrived last, and he saw the island as crowded. He was the only one who realized the other bands were already here. Blizzard traveled from igloo set to igloo set, explaining the dilemma and threatening to attack them. So a great battle broke out and many penguins died. When the fight was over, there were only four penguins left. They were Rain of the Magellanics, Fleur of the Adelies, Slushy of the Emperors and Wing of the Rockhoppers. Together, they made a pact to settle peacefully around the island, leaving the center as a memorial. Every month, they meet there in peace and pray and talk about things happening in their bands. Even now, the four leaders (Rain of Ocean Band, Fleur of Ice Band, Wing of Snow Band and Slushy of Blizzard Band) are collecting more penguins of their kind from their homes to join their bands and recreate their ancestors' memories and bands. This is the story of Polar Island.
