One day as Slushy lay outside her igloo thinking she began to ponder her birth. She knew she had hatched on the island a few months after the great battle. this was all she knew though she realized, besides the fact she was an empire penguin. Slushy had asked the leaders many times about where she had come from but every time was told they didn't know. All they could tell her was that one day Frost had been taking a walk a few months after the great battle and found her shivering next to her egg. They said they didn't know if her egg had been laid by a blizzard band penguin be for the battle or if a penguin from a neiboring island had abandoned her egg on polar island.

Rain pelted into Blizzard Band territory, knowing she was trespassing.
What am I going to tell them? she thought tenderly. I really should've figured this out before acting.
Rain shook her head and continued to run into the Blizzard Igloos. She saw the young wing Slushy thinking about something and sitting outside her igloo.
"Everything okay Slushy?" she asked worriedly.
Her flippers itched, she needed to get to Frost as soon as possible. As much as she wanted to talk to Slushy, she knew that this was unimportant.
